Description
First published in 1936, this 1981 edition, Subtitled A Book for All Seasons, has had a major rewrite and was published by the Auckland Institute and Museum. Cranwell completely overhauled the text, heavily illustrating it with detailed line drawings, black-and-white photographs, and 12 colour plates. It focuses deeply on specific scenic reserves that define the modern Auckland landscape.
